dandelions

tampopo

tampopo

I came across this installation recently that sent me over the edge with joy and absolute “coolness”.  Tampopo means Dandelion in Japanese.  As we all know, blowing a seeded dandelion requires making a wish first before spewing your air onto them.  Its universal this folklore…its really  nice.  Now, I know the majority of people who have lawns dotted with tampopo have nothing but curses for the  yellow little things, but, just imagine if you, the lawn keeper, waited a week or so, got down on your hands and knees, closed your eyes really tight and made a hundred wishes while blowing on each and every flower.   Here are some wishes for you to consider:  I wish..”there would be no more dandelions in my yard..ever”, “my horrible neighbors lawn will capture all 1 million of these seeds i am blowing their way”, “the lawn boy would turn 18″, “i didnt have a lawn”, etc, etc….  So, make a wish..watch the video I have attached…and have a great spring.
