Ever Wonder?
Ever wonder where all the flowers basically come from? Its here, in Aalsmeer at the auction which is about 6 more football fields larger than what you see in the picture. Anyway, I am going to let you in on a little secret: You dont pay MORE for flowers just because they come from Holland. Unless the florist is growing them in their backyard, you really don’t pay more or less if they come from Holland, Canada, Columbia, California, etc. Its a way for florists to jack up their pricing when they can say “our flowers come from Holland”. Here is my schtick: you get what you pay for in the long run. So, the more you pay for flowers or floral design, the better the investment. Choose wisely. And I dont care if your peony only lasted two days when you bought it at whole foods, that was your choice. How long did that cup of coffee you bought this morning for $4.00 last?
