Mike is a “what you see is what you get” guy. Mike is an original. Creating something that’s been done before? Boring. Mike is a yes, let’s try that guy. Big heart, no pretenses, creativity oozing, boundless energy are the cornerstones of his make up. And we are all better because of him.
His real experience came from being awarded best burger flipper at a world renowned hamburger joint, and best denim folder at one of the earth’s largest retailers. Also in his background, insurance salesman, fabulous chef, great dancer. What hasn’t he done?
We could blab on and on about his college, and professional training in Italy and Holland, but in the end, no one really cares about that. People want to see the goods. But Mike goes one step further. His designs make even non- believers swoon.

Mikel is from a town in Louisiana where they eat crawfish plucked right from the gulf, and sauce so hot steam shoots from one’s ears. His journeys started at the race track where he worked the concession stands making sure there were enough buns and cups (is that a metaphor for something else?), hotel night clerk, bank teller, and decades of experience in retail. His experience prepared him well.
Mikel is the engine that keeps everything moving at epoch. The behind the scenes guy that knows what needs to be done and gets it accomplished-without a blip. If creativity is the heart, then functionality is the circulation. One only works with the other. Both a paramount to success.
Mikel is the go-to guy whether his facial expressions change or not.

Picture a juxtaposition of an outdoorsy kid (raised in rural Michigan need we expound?), a true artist, quasi computer geek, motorcycle slut, amazing singer; he was born to create sensual artistic flower designs.
Yea, yea…he’s got the college, art school, restaurant training, hiking experience…People have been known to drop to their knees and talk to the flowers after encountering one of his creations.

He wandered into epoch one day on a whim and hasn’t left since. Chicago is his second home; the Pacific Northwest his first. He loves a well-fitted suit, Nike Dunk Highs, and food, ranging from the fanciest to the much-less-than-fancy (think Big Mac).
In the studio, you’ll find him fighting with alex, drinking copious quantities of mediocre coffee, wrestling dogwood branches into vases, sketching floral concepts, or photographing flowers when the light is just right. He’s been putting flowers together since he was a kid and nothing makes him happier.
RosieThink it’s a coincidence that she is named after one of the most beautiful flowers? Rosie is as sweet as rock candy on a stick. Rosie is originally from Jamaica, and her accent makes people remember how nice it is to relax in a hammock with the deep blue sea splashing on a pristine white beach. Rosie has that effect on people.
